Justin Moore loves to cook and enjoys making dinner for his family, but with four young kids, he’s bound to have some picky eaters to deal with. Justin says, “I do have picky eaters, but from day one, once they were old enough to eat real food, they’ve eaten what we eat.”
Justin sees other parents who are like short order cooks and will cook special meals for their picky eaters. In fact, he says, “I have buddies who will cook for them and their wife and then they make chicken nuggets or whatever for the kids. So people are always amazed cause my kids would rather have broccoli and grilled chicken or whatever than mac and cheese sometimes. Obviously they like macaroni and cheese, but they’re like, ‘How do you get them to do that?’ We didn’t give ‘em another option. I’m not cooking two dinners.”
Justin accepts that his kids might have a certain food they don’t like, but in general, the whole family eats the same meals, and Justin says, “They do eat pretty well.”
Justin is spending a lot of his summer on the road as he prepares to release his new album, Late Nights and Long Necks, on July 26th, featuring his latest single, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home.”
