NASHVILLE, TN (September 5, 2025) – Country newcomer Cole Goodwin is sending out a desperate plea in his new track “Messin’ With My Mind,” out today via Big Machine Records. Stuck in an unrelenting game of push and pull with a significant other, he’s constantly made to feel unsure of what her true feelings are, and he’s come to the conclusion that the not knowing has become just as painful as the possibility of losing her. Finally driven to his breaking point by her volatility, he begs her to stop playing games and shoot him straight on where they truly stand. Soley written by Goodwin, “Messin’ With My Mind” is a bold and earnest offering from the up-and-coming artist who continues to uphold the sound and integrity of traditional Country music.

“I actually wrote ‘Messin’ With My Mind’ back in college – just me and a guitar. It’s always been one of my favorites because it has this light, spacey feel, especially with the pedal steel weaving through it,” shares Goodwin. “To me, it’s a heartbreak song, but it’s also the kind you can throw on with the windows down and just enjoy the ride.”
“Messin’ With My Mind” follows the release of two other tracks from Goodwin earlier this summer: “Dust On The Dancefloor,” which Country Central describes as “country music done right,” and the “cheeky, catchy, and honest” (Celeb Secrets) cheating song “Girlfriend’s Got A Boyfriend.” The “old school country crooner” (Holler) is currently crisscrossing the country opening on select dates of Luke Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour.
