NASHVILLE, TN (July 25, 2025) – Rising singer/songwriter Cole Goodwin confronts a constant reminder on “Dust On The Dancefloor,” left with a wide-open space to two-step, but no dance partner. Ever since she walked out on him, he’s plagued with ever-present visions of late nights in their living room, spinning her around to classic Country. Now the dust has settled not only on the relationship, but the very floor where their memories were made – a stark reminder of the passage of time. Written by Goodwin alongside Jack Hummel, “Dust On The Dancefloor” – out today via Big Machine Records – is a reflective shot of sadness and steel guitar that further proves Goodwin’s potential as a torchbearer for the nostalgic heartbreak songs that have defined Country music for decades.

“‘Dust on the Dancefloor’ is a song I wrote with my buddy Jack Hummel, and it is one of my favorite songs I have been a part of writing,” shares Goodwin. “I love old ballads, especially heartbreak ballads, and this sits right in that ‘sad song’ vein of Country music. I hope everybody loves this song and appreciates the reminiscent feel of the story it tells.”
“Dust On The Dancefloor” follows the release of Goodwin’s track “Girlfriend’s Got A Boyfriend” last month – his first official release since signing with Big Machine Records this summer and a standout example of Goodwin’s ability to craft engaging stories and deliver them with his signature Southern boy charm and wit. More new music from the “old school country crooner” (Holler) is expected throughout the summer as he crisscrosses the country opening on select dates of Luke Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour.
