We’ve heard some pretty unique Christmas traditions over the years, but the way Mackenzie Carpenter and her family kick off their Christmas morning may be the most unique tradition we’ve heard so far.

“So, every Christmas morning we go over to my Uncle Jay’s house and we make oyster stew. It’s like in a big bucket. It’s so good. I promise you. It’s so good. We make oyster stew and you crumble saltine crackers and hot sauce on top of it. And that is a big Christmas tradition in our family. And then we have like a very particular holiday wine that’s like this big blue Sam’s wine. And it’s like, once the holiday wine gets broken out, it’s over.”
