Summer is just around the corner, and for Cody Cooper of Waterloo Revival, that means he can get out on the water and enjoy some of his favorite activities, including water skiing and wakeboarding. Cody’s dad grew up water skiing and he says, “He made sure once I was in middle school and was old enough to actually enjoy the lake that we always had a boat and means to go out and go skiing and wakeboarding.”
Cody has known his partner in Waterloo Revival, George Birge, since middle school, so they both actually grew up water skiing and wakeboarding. They both did it throughout high school and college, and in fact, Cody says, “I was up at the University of North Texas, I was on the wakeboard team, actually there, and I’ve always loved being out on the water doing water skiing, it’s just a very relaxing and fun and amazing feeling to be out there.”
Waterloo Revival’s debut single, “Hit the Road,” is a perfect summertime anthem and is currently climbing the charts.

Waterloo Revival – being on lake Cody :34
“I grew up going water skiing, wakeboarding. My dad grew up outside a Houston, he was always skiing throughout middle school, high school, and he made sure once I was in middle school and was old enough to actually enjoy the lake that we always had a boat and means to go out and go skiing and wakeboarding and he’d go with us and George and I both all through high school and I carried on throughout college, George did too. I was up at the University of North Texas, I was on the wakeboard team, actually there, and I’ve always loved being out on the water doing water skiing, it’s just a very relaxing and fun and amazing feeling to be out there.”
