Waterloo Revival’s debut single is appropriately called “Hit the Road,” because that’s pretty much what they’ve been doing for the last couple of months, traveling across the country to promote their music. When you spend as much time on the road as they do, lead singer George Birge says there are some definite must haves, like coffee. They also try to eat fairly healthy on the road, so he says, “Beef jerky and almonds are always must haves, even though we usually sneak in a Reese’s or a Butterfinger here and there.”
Since the guys travel around the country in a van, they also try whatever they can to stay comfortable. George says, “You know the creepy neck pillows that people wear in the airport that look like they could never be comfortable and are always draggin’ around on their suitcases? As unfashionable as those are, they’re total lifesavers on road trips. We are sittin’ in a van for hours and hours on end and havin’ those neck pillows make it way easier to sleep.”

Waterloo Revival – road must haves George :38
“Coffee, without a doubt. We have a serious problem, or I guess you could say passion, for coffee. We try to eat somewhat healthy on the road, so beef jerky and almonds are always must haves, even though we usually sneak in a Reese’s or a Butterfinger here and there. Also, you know the creepy neck pillows that people wear in the airport that look like they could never be comfortable and are always draggin’ around on their suitcases? As unfashionable as those are, they’re total lifesavers on road trips. We are sittin’ in a van for hours and hours on end and havin’ those neck pillows make it way easier to sleep.”
