After celebrating his multi-week #1 song, “It Goes Like This,” Thomas is ready to watch his new single, “Get Me Some of That” climb the charts and he says, “Dad’s getting real lucky on this record. This will be the second one in a row that he’s written that I did not have a part of and I think it’s cool.” Thomas admits that “For the longest time, I always thought that if I didn’t write every song on my record then I was a sell out and that I had no right being an artist if I couldn’t write all the songs. I’m over that idea. For me it’s – if I write a song that I love and I can’t live without it, I record it. If, for some reason, none of my songs that I write are filling this gap on the record, I am so open to getting songs pitched to me by anyone. For me it’s ‘the best song wins’.” So far that philosophy seems to be working quite well for him.

Thomas Rhett – Get Me Some of That :33
“The next single is a song called ‘Get Me Some of That’. Dad’s getting real lucky on this record. This will be the second one in a row that he’s written that I did not have a part of and I think it’s cool. For the longest time, I always thought that if I didn’t write every song on my record then I was a sell out and that I had no right being an artist if I couldn’t write all the songs.
