When Thomas Rhett plays live he loves to incorporate the element of surprise.  “Every night we play a show and we decide to do something crazy on stage. I want people to be surprised, and I want ‘em to tweet and say, ‘I cannot believe that Thomas Rhett did that’.”  He also likes to have the same feeling on his records.  Thomas says, “There’s a lot of different songs on this record. There’s songs that’ll make you laugh, songs that’ll make you cry, songs that make you just strictly want to dance,” like his latest single “Get Me Some of That.”  There’s just a lot of diversity on the record… I just kind of want to be known as the guy that can kind of pull off anything.”

If I could say one thing about it I would say it’s all me, whether it’s a slow ballad or an eighties Bee Gee-feeling song or got a little bit of hip-hop twist to it or rock twist. I just kind of want to be known as the guy that can kind of pull off anything.”
