2013 has been a bit of a whirlwind for Thomas Rhett. He spent several months on the Night Train Tour with Jason Aldean and now he’s wrapping up the year as the headliner on the Taste of Country Christmas Tour, which is giving him a chance to promote his latest single, “Get Me Some of That.” When Thomas thinks about what he’ll be thankful for this Thanksgiving, he says without a doubt his wife Lauren will be at the top of the list. “I don’t know what I would do without a constant support system,” says Thomas. “Somebody that can deal with me being on the road as much as I am and still have somebody to call at one or two in the morning when I’m done doing all this stuff who will gladly answer. It might not be in the best mood, but at least she’s there. That’s one of the biggest reasons that I can perform well every night, I feel like. To know that I’ve got somebody that’s kinda got my back at all times.” Thomas and Lauren celebrated their first anniversary on October 12th.

Thomas Rhett – Thanksgiving thankful for :41
“One of the biggest reasons that I think I can perform as well as I do onstage and the way that I write songs, is very—a whole lot credited to towards Lauren. I mean, I don’t know what I would do without a constant support system. Somebody that can deal with me being on the road as much as I am and still have somebody to call at one or two in the morning when I’m done doing all this stuff who will gladly answer. It might not be in the best mood, but at least she’s there. That’s one of the biggest reasons that I can perform well every night, I feel like. To know that I’ve got somebody that’s kinda got my back at all times and – I don’t know. I would just say thankful to really even have a job. Especially to have a job that I have a blast doing every night.”
