Besides getting to open for Brantley Gilbert on his Let It Ride Tour this year, Thomas Rhett had the chance to help Jake Owen kick off his Days of Gold Tour last month and he says the experience, “It made me feel like I was at the beach for sure.”

Thomas is good friends with Jake, so it was cool for him to be able to see Jake headlining his own tour. “I was just super proud,” says Thomas. “It was my first time ever doin’ a middle slot too. So gettin’ to play longer than 20 minutes and five songs was a very cool thing and gettin’ to experience what Jake’s fans are like, and that’s the coolest part. You get to play for all these different headliners fans and hopefully they like what you do too.”

Now he’s playing the middle slot on Brantley’s tour and getting to showcase not only his hits like “Get Me Some of That” and “It Goes Like This,” but also some other cuts off his debut CD.
