Thomas Rhett’s Tangled Up album definitely has a wide array of sounds and pushes the boundaries and Thomas says, “I wasn’t even trying to teeter-totter on any line because there wasn’t a line in my head. I was super blessed by the label just to be like ‘hey, you go do your thing, we trust you’.”
While Thomas did consider that some people would think he pushed the boundaries too far, he says, “We were just like ‘I’m just gonna make the album that I want to make’ and I’m 25 years old and I’m cutting songs that I love and that make me happy. It’s really hard to describe and I wish that there was an epic sentence that I had come up with to describe it, but there’s not. I think it kinda changes every time I talk about it.”
So far, Thomas has scored two #1 songs off Tangled Up with “Crash and Burn” and “Die A Happy Man,” and it looks like “T-shirt” will be his third #1 off the album.

Thomas Rhett – Tangled Up motto :34
“I wasn’t even trying to teeter-totter on any line because there wasn’t a line in my head. I was super blessed by the label just to be like ‘hey, you go do your thing, we trust you’. I think ‘Make Me Wanna’ was a big confidence builder for the label and knowing that a song like that can work and a song like ‘Crash and Burn’ can work, we were just like ‘I’m just gonna make the album that I want to make’ and I’m 25 years old and I’m cutting songs that I love and that make me happy. It’s really hard to describe and I wish that there was an epic sentence that I had come up with to describe it, but there’s not. I think it kinda changes every time I talk about it.”
