Thomas Rhett has chosen a song called “Crash and Burn” as his next single, which will be the first release off his forthcoming sophomore album. Having that detail in place will make it easier for Thomas to finish his new album. He explains, “We have a ton a songs and every day we’re tryin’ to narrow down songs that fit, and songs that don’t fit. The problem is there’s so many good songs and you only have a certain amount of spaces on the record, so you really have to be selective and careful about what track number seven is, or what track number 10 is and so once you figure out your first single then you start to craft the record around that first single. So, that’s kinda where we’re at right now.”
“Crash and Burn” will be officially released to radio on April 7th, and a release date has not been set yet for Thomas’ new album, but it will come out later this year.

Thomas Rhett has enjoyed some time off the road at home lately. He celebrates his 25th birthday today (3/30). His next date is in Dallas when he performs at the ACM Awards on April 19. He just released a new single to radio called “Crash and Burn.”
