A lot of artists who are both successful singers and songwriters say if they had to choose one or the other, they would probably choose songwriting, but Thomas Rhett says as difficult as it would be to choose, he’d probably have to choose the stage. “Before I got to perform songs all I did was write. I was in town five days a week writin’ things. I love wakin’ up and comin’ to Nashville and gettin’ into a room with a couple other guys and writin’ songs,” says Thomas, “but, there really is no feeling like standing back stage and the stage manager says, ‘Alright, two minutes ‘til showtime.’ You walk out there and you see the lights and you see the people and the band starts to play. There’s really just no feelin’ like walkin’ out on stage and singin’ to a crowd and entertainin’ a crowd. I love both, but there’s really no feelin’ like walkin’ on stage and playin’.”
Fortunately nobody is making Thomas choose between his two loves, so he’s getting to perform his new single, “Make Me Wanna,” which he co-wrote, on stages all across the country.

Thomas Rhett – choose writing or performing :35
“Well I love to write songs, but I also love to perform. Before I got to perform songs all I did was write. I was in town five days a week writin’ things.
