(AUDIO) Thomas Rhett Blown Away By International Fan Base and Fan Recognition

Thomas Rhett just wrapped up a very busy CMA Music Festival, and one thing that blew him away was how far some people traveled just to see him and their other favorite country stars. “It’s crazy how people travel literally from all across the world, and that’s not even an understatement,” says Thomas. “You’ve got people from Australia coming over here, Europe and people from all over the country, from Seattle to New York to San Diego. And it’s crazy that you live in this small bubble in Nashville and you go on the road and you play these shows and all of the sudden you’ve got 100,000 people from all over the country and not even in our country, coming to watch this whole week.”

Thomas made a big leap this year from the free BMI performance stage last year to the main stage at LP Field this year, and despite all his success in the past year, Thomas is still amazed that people recognize him or even know who he is. He says, “The fact that you can ride in a golf cart downtown with your sunglasses on and your ball cap on backwards and people are like, ‘Hey, there’s Thomas Rhett right there.’ It’s a whole new experience for me. I’m sure a lot of the Luke Bryans and the Aldeans get that all the time, but for me, it’s cool.”

Thomas announced that he will release “Make Me Wanna” as the final single off his debut album. He’s already started to go into the studio to work on his sophomore album.
