Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary this Sunday, October 12th. They’ve known each other since they were in grade school, and Thomas actually wrote a song on his About A Woman album about the night he confessed his love for her.

“I remember playing her one in particular song on the record called “What Could Go Right.” And I’ve tried to write that song in a million different ways, but there was something about this in particular setting. Cause the song is literally about the night that I went over to Lauren’s parents’ house and basically had told her that I’d been in love with her since I was 16. And I fully understand if this ruins our friendship, but I kinda had to tell you this. And so, the entire night she just kept saying, ‘Well, what if we don’t become friends anymore?’ And what if this and what if that? And I just remember thinking, but what if it all worked? You know what I’m sayin’? Like what if it all actually went how I planned this? And so when I played her that song, she was like, ‘You know, I know you tried to write this song a few times, but I feel like this is the first time that y’all have actually like nailed that night.’”
