Jay DeMarcus – “Without fail, we think about how the song’s gonna translate live. When we’re in the studio, a lot of times, workin’ up the arrangement, we’ll go, ‘Ahhh, we need to do this here. This’ll be cool when we play it live.’ You don’t know if you’re actually gonna play that song ever, but you try to keep that in mind when you’re makin’ the arrangments and comin’ up with how it’s gonna be presented.”
