Steven Tyler has been spending a lot of time in Nashville collaborating with other songwriters for music for his first country album, which he’ll release in the next couple of months. Although the music may sound different than some of the songs he wrote and recorded with Aerosmith, Steven says, “Writing a song, they’re all the same. The experiences are all the same. You sit in a room and you’re dancing between the notes and you have a guitar and somebody asks if you have any idea for lyrics or the tempo of the song you wanna do or even what you want to sing about, but it’s the same process no matter what, it’s just different people.”
The one thing that has been a pleasant surprise for Steven with Nashville writers is that he says, “Down here everyone is prolific and plays so good on their instruments and is so good at writing songs that to jump into that mix it’s always so surprising at the end of the day what we come up with, and we’ve always come up with something good.”
One of the songs Steven co-wrote for his forthcoming album is his latest single, “Red, White and You.”
