Riley Green has known who he is as an artist since he first started writing songs because his lyrics and his perspective were shaped by his upbringing in Alabama. No matter how far Riley gets into his career or how much his songs evolve sonically, they’ll always have that underlying common thread of life back home in Alabama running through them.

“Obviously, I guess as I get older and some things in my life change, you know, my songs are going to start to kind of grow with me. But I spenT most of my time at home in Alabama, and when I go home, I see the same things, you know, the same folks and we still have the same values. So, it’s pretty easy for me to write from that place. That’s just where I grew up and where I live. So, I don’t see it changing too much overnight. But definitely try to come up with new ideas and things that are going to be musically different to fans. Lyrically, I’m always gonna kinda come from the same place.”
