It’s back-to-school time, and Rascal Flatts has always been big supporters of music education in schools because they believe they are living proof of the positive impact music education can have on kids.

Jay DeMarcus – “I went to a school of the arts and I was surrounded by people that were artistic like myself, and I just remember how instrumental it was for me because I wasn’t particularly interested in school otherwise. But having that to look forward to every single day to go really concentrate on playing music really fired me up to go to school. I think there are a lot of kids like me that are missing that in their lives right now because music education is dwindling so quickly and I’m living proof that music education works.”
