If you listen to Preston Cooper’s debut album, Toledo Talkin’, there are quite a few story songs that aren’t necessarily autobiographical, but more like stories about other people or observations of life. Early on in Carrie Underwood’s career, she said she was more comfortable writing story songs than autobiographical songs about her own personal life, so we wondered if Preston had a preference between the two.
