Oliver Hudson, who plays the villain, Jeff Fordham on Nashville, enjoys playing the bad guy, but he’s hopeful as season three of the show progresses that viewers will maybe get to know a little bit more of the human side of his character. “It was great last year, just to be ruthless. Now that I’m a regular on the show, I would wish for, and it would be fun to see why this guy is who he is,” says Oliver, “because it’s gotta come from somewhere, and there needs to be some sort of humanity. You don’t have to redeem him, but I think you have to at least give everyone a little taste of why he’s so bad. Why he has just no heart. It’d be fun to see what this guy does in a relationship. Who is he is outside of just being cutthroat?”
Nashville is currently on a holiday hiatus, but they’ll be returning with brand new episodes on ABC in early 2015.
