(AUDIO) NOAH SCHNACKY TRIES TO EXPLAIN HOW TO PRONOUNCE HIS LAST NAME

New Big Machine Records artist, Noah Schnacky, just released his brand new song, “I’ll Be the One,” and one question he’s already heard a lot is how do you pronounce his last name?  Are there two syllables or three?  “Noah Schnacky. It’s two faux three. You know what I mean?” he says, as he tries to work it out in his own mind while saying it out loud. “It’s almost a third one but you don’t even hear it. Noah SHNACK-ee, but it’s not. It’s Shuh-NACK-ee, Schnacky … two, one, two. SHNACK-ee but Shuh-NACK-ee.”

No matter how many times Noah says his last name, he can’t decide if it’s two syllables or three either. “It’s kind of two or three … Schnacky,” he says.  “How many syllables is that? I’m Noah and I don’t know. So who could know? I don’t know. You decide.”

Chances are, if people get even halfway close, Noah won’t mind how you say his last name.  It will probably be mispronounced and misspelled a few times in his career, but he’s just happy to be playing shows and happy to have his song, “I’ll Be the One” on the radio so that people have to say his name … no matter many syllables they use.
