Noah Schnacky is a tall (6’2”), good looking, athletic guy, but he was a chubby kid, so whenever he would get invited to pool parties by his classmates and friends, he would never take off his shirt and get in the pool, which actually ended up being a good thing in the long run. At one particular party, the girl Noah had a crush on wondered why he wasn’t getting in the pool, and Noah says, “I didn’t want to give her the actual answer, that I was insecure, and so I picked up this rusty guitar that was sitting at the house, next to me, and I was like, ‘Oh, cause I was jamming.’”
He only knew one chord on the guitar, but Noah somehow convinced his crush that he could play, which led her to ask him to accompany her when she sang at the school talent show. Noah agreed to do it and he says, “I went home and I learned to play ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus. And that was G, D, E minor, C. And with those chords I realized I could play, like, pretty much any song on the radio. And that was when guitar changed for me because I started playing the things that I loved. And that’s when I really fell in love with playing and singing for myself.”
Since then, Noah has learned a lot more chords, and he’s used his guitar skills to help him write dozens of songs, including his debut single, “I’ll Be the One.”

“So, I was a chubby little kid and I would never go into pools at pool parties. And so, one time, I was at a pool party and this girl I really thought was cute, walked inside and I had a crush on her at the time. And I was sitting on the couch and she was like, ‘Why aren’t you in the pool?’ And I didn’t want to give her the actual answer, that I was insecure, and so I picked up this rusty guitar that was sitting at the house, next to me, and I was like ‘Oh, cause I was jamming.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh you play guitar?’ And I knew like one chord, enough to like trick her in that moment, and no more. She’s like ‘Well that’s great! I actually need someone to perform with me at my talent show next week. I’m doing a cover of Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ and I need accompaniment.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I got you girl!’ And so, I went home and I learned to play ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus. And that was G, D, E minor, C. And with those chords I realized I could play, like, pretty much any song on the radio.
