“My parents in general have been so supportive my whole career. I wouldn’t have made it to this point without them, and sometimes I take that for granted because it’s all I’ve ever known. Parents that are like, ‘Oh yeah, you wanna go to school for music? You should do that.’ Parents that are like, ‘Oh, you’re not gonna make that much money in the beginning and you’re barely gonna break even and travel across the country and try to get people to listen to songs that you wrote? That’s really cool. You should try that.’ That’s really, really rare and special and I’m thankful.”
