(AUDIO) MACKENZIE CARPENTER’S COLLEGE CONNECTIONS HAVE BEEN INVALUABLE TO HER CAREER

brand new single: “I WISH YOU WOULD” featuring Midland

When Mackenzie Carpenter decided she wanted to move to Nashville to pursue a career in country music, her dad insisted she attend college first and get her degree, which she did, in Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville. While there might have been a part of Mackenzie that was frustrated in the beginning at not being able to go full force into chasing her dream, in hindsight she now knows going to Belmont and getting her degree was the best thing she ever could have done, because it laid the foundation for her career, and it helped her make some invaluable connections early on in her time in Nashville.

But I squeezed everything I could out of those first two years, and I do believe it’s had a big hand in where I’ve ended up.”
