brand new single: “I WISH YOU WOULD” featuring Midland
Mackenzie Carpenter has had several family members who served in the military, so when she thinks about Memorial Day, she is humbled by what her loved ones must have experienced during their time in the military, and the sacrifice that so many men and women have made for our country.
Mackenzie Carpenter – Memorial Day :33
“I have grandfathers that served in the military, and unfortunately they have all passed away at this point. But my pawpaw in particular, you know, there were some things that he went through that he couldn’t even talk about, and he never talked about them until the day that he died. And when I think about the reverence that we should have for these people that literally voluntarily choose to go out and fight for this country and the freedoms that we have, it’s hard to fathom, and I’m very, very thankful. And it makes a lot of other things look really silly that we worry about.”
