current single: “I WISH YOU WOULD” featuring Midland

Mackenzie Carpenter’s latest single, “I Wish You Would,” featuring Midland, is one of the more sultry, sexy songs on her Hey Country Queen debut album.  The album also features several cleverly written and humorous songs, like “Dozen Red Flags” and “Don’t Mess with Exes.” We wondered where Mackenzie gets her wit and humor.

“You know, a lot of people call me witty and clever, and I don’t know where exactly it started. But I think I just make these things up in my head, and then I hope that they come out right. I hope that somebody thinks they’re funny or clever, even though sometimes it’s very cheesy or silly.”
