(AUDIO) Levi Hummon’s “Guts and Glory” Connects With Military Families

Levi Hummon was inspired by the RAM Trucks slogan, “Guts and Glory,” to write a song with that title, which is actually his debut single that inspired the Ram Trucks Guts & Glory on the Road promo tour. While the song was originally inspired by RAM trucks, Levi says, “When I play it live, and I’ve actually played it very acoustic, and usually during the meet and greets I’ll have wives and daughters of military men that are deployed kind of come up to me and say, this song really reminded me of my husband, or reminded me of my father and I just wanna thank you for singing it.”

As Memorial Day approaches, Levi says getting compliments like that from military families “is huge,” because he says, “It really gives me and my music kind of a sense of worth and it means so much to be able to do what I do and have the freedom I have to perform and be an artist and I just dedicate that all to the men and women of our military and service members. It means the world to me.”

“Guts and Glory” is available now on Levi’s self-titled EP.

Levi Hummon – Memorial Day :44
“The song ‘Guts and Glory’ we actually partnered with Ram on it, but when I play it live, and I’ve actually played it very acoustic, and usually during the meet and greets I’ll have wives and daughters of military men that are deployed kind of come up to me and say, this song really reminded me of my husband, or reminded me of my father and I just wanna thank you for singing it, and if you know how much it means to me to honor and respect that, it’s huge, and it really gives me and my music kind of a sense of worth and it means so much to be able to do what I do and have the freedom I have to perform and be an artist and I just dedicate that all to the men and women of our military and service members. It means the world to me.”
