CURRENT SINGLE: “Old School’s In”
If you ever see Heath Sanders driving around Nashville in his truck, you’ll know it’s him, because he drives a huge pick-up truck from Cowboy Chrysler, Jeep Dodge in Clinton, Arkansas, which is wrapped with an almost wood looking paint scheme, with the name of the dealership printed down both sides, along with his name, and the number of the dealership. Heath shared the story behind the rolling billboard. “A local Dodge Ram dealer had just moved into town, and I had just bought a truck from another dealer a few towns over. Well, they saw I was driving that new truck from a different dealership, and they were like, ‘Man, we’ve gotta get you in one of our trucks.’ I was like, ‘Guys, I just bought this thing. I can’t trade.’ And he goes, ‘I’ll tell you what, you bring that truck in and we’ll just give you a truck.’ And I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kiddin’ me.’”
It all sounded too good to be true, that they would just give him a truck, but Heath says, “Sure enough, I went in there a few days later, we shook hands on a deal and they said go pick it out. And I walked out in the parking lot and picked up a brand new diesel three-quarter ton Dodge Ram, and I’ve been driving it ever since.”
As for the unique paint scheme, Heath says, “I mean, that’s part of the deal, like, ‘Hey, we’ll give you a truck if you’ll run our billboard down the side of it.’ So, shoot yeah! They could’ve painted it pink for all I care.”
Perhaps Heath can find a way to add the title of his debut single, “Old School’s In,” to the truck, to give it a little free advertising, too.
