debut single: “WAIT TIL YOU HAVE KIDS”
Greylan James co-wrote his debut single, “Wait Til You Have Kids,” with Matt Roy, and ironically, neither of them have kids. But with the insightful lyrics about parenthood like they included in the chorus:

Wait ’til you have kids
you would never know it. But even without the experience of having kids of their own, Greylan says they really took care when crafting the lyrics to make them relatable.

“When we were writin’ that song, goin’ line by line, we were just talking about all the things we know was gonna change. ‘Cause I do think time is flying by right now, but I can’t imagine going through the daily life of raising a human. And so, I think it was just knowin’ that people were gonna hear this song and take it super seriously and it’s gotta be right. And so, we took a lot of care to it, and I think it was just honestly thinking back to our childhood and kinda seein’ it through the lens of our parents raising us. So, we took our time with it, and I think we got it right.”
