Rascal Flatts has built an incredibly successful career over the last 26 years. Of course, they owe a lot of their success to the songs they’ve recorded, but Gary LeVox also thinks another key to their success are the opportunities they’ve had over the years to make new fans by having their music featured in hit movies.

“We’ve always wanted to create timeless music, but I think we’ve always tried to keep it family friendly and universal lyrics, you know, with universal melodies that when you hear it, you go, ‘Gosh, it feels like I’ve heard that, but it’s relatable.’ I think bein’ in movies, you know, like we had a song in The Emperor’s New Groove, that kind of started it off. And then the Hannah Montana movie, and then the Cars movie, and We Were Soldiers movie, and Evan Almighty. Having songs in those movies were great exposure for us too.”
