Sometimes when an actor gets really invested in the character they’re playing, it’s easy for them to get very passionate about their character’s story line and the decisions their character makes. Chris Carmack, who plays Will Lexington on ABC’s Nashville says he does not worry about the direction the writers are taking his character. He laughs and says he has never read a script and thought, “What is Will doing?!” or “Why is he doing that?!”
Chris says, “I have, in the past, worked on shows where that has been my reaction, but I think the writers are so on point with this character and where he’s going. Every scene I get is just, it’s just exciting to read. They’re givin’ me so much to work with. They’re givin’ Will interesting stories and interesting scenes episode after episode and I have nothing but enthusiasm for every scene I read so far.”
