(AUDIO) CALLISTA CLARK WOULDN’T BE THE SINGER SHE IS TODAY IF IT WASN’T FOR HER SIBLINGS

CURRENT SINGLE: “It’s Cause I Am”

When Callista Clark first started singing out in public, she was 8-years old, her older brother was 11, and her younger sister was 6.  They all performed together for a while, but now Callista is the only one pursuing a music career.  She says, “My siblings, the older they got, the more they kind of backed out a little bit.”

Callista is grateful that her siblings were interested in singing for a while, because she truly believes she wouldn’t be on the path she’s on now without them. “I think since I was shy, that kind of had to happen,” she says. “I don’t know if I would be the solo artist that I am now, and where I am now, if they wouldn’t have pushed me and encouraged me, and my parents also.”

Fortunately, even though her siblings lost interest in singing, they’re very excited about Callista’s career. “My whole family is just so supportive and so great to be around with my career, for sure.”

Callista is 17 now, and she’s still living in her tiny hometown in Georgia, but she has said when it’s time to make the move to Nashville, her parents, and probably her whole family will move with her, because they are all so close.
