(AUDIO) CALLISTA CLARK SHARES SOME OF HER MODERN MUSICAL INFLUENCES

CURRENT SINGLE: “It’s Cause I Am”

When Callista Clark was growing up, she listened to a lot of music that was before her time, like The Judds, Aretha Franklin and Bonnie Raitt.  All those women definitely made an impression on Callista and influenced the artist she is today, but she also has plenty of modern musical influences.  “I think my sound, a good way to describe it would be if you said Taylor Swift for her songwriting, mixed it with Luke Combs and Tori Kelly.”

Much like Callista, Tori grew up singing in church, and Callista says, “I love her vocals. I think she is an amazing singer, and I think you can always tell when someone grew up singing in church. I think there’s just always something very special about that.”

To hear what Taylor Swift, Luke Combs and Tori Kelly would sound like if they were one singer/songwriter, check out Callista’s debut EP, Real to Me, which is available now wherever you stream or download music.
