Brett Young and his wife Taylor will celebrate one of their wedding anniversaries next Sunday, August 10th. Their big elaborate wedding ceremony that everyone knew about happened November 3, 2018, but a couple years later, Brett revealed that he and Taylor had actually tied the knot three months prior to that in a private ceremony with just the two of them at the Music City Wedding Chapel in Nashville. So, in honor of this Sunday marking the seventh anniversary of their first wedding, Brett shares how he proposed Taylor.

“On Valentine’s Day weekend, actually. I tried to play it off on her because Valentine’s Day was like on a Wednesday, and I was playing the Mississippi rodeo on Wednesday, and I was like, ‘Well, babe, since we’re at like a rodeo, would you mind if we celebrated Valentine’s Day this weekend because we’ll be in Oxford, Mississippi, which is where I went to school at Ole Miss, and we can get a nice dinner and the whole thing?’ And she totally thought I was blowing off Valentine’s Day, which was great because she got mad at me, and then she got proposed to that following Sunday, a few days later at the Graduate Hotel, right there in Oxford. And they set up a really cool kind of rose petals leading to a sweetheart table with a bottle of champagne.”
