Ashley Campbell just released her debut single, “Remembering,” which will be on her forthcoming album for Dot Records, and was also featured on the soundtrack for the documentary Glen Campbell … I’ll be Me.
Ashley had the joy of being able to perform with her dad on his Goodbye Tour, his final tour, but she admits, “At first it was difficult to let my guard down and let him be vulnerable in front of an audience,” she says. “I wanted to do everything I could to protect him. But I finally realized that he didn’t need my protection. He just needed my support, and so that’s what it became about, just being there for him, whatever he needed.”
Ashley realized that the audience just wanted to see Glen and they loved him and she says, “Playing on stage with my dad during the Goodbye Tour was an experience I’ll always cherish.
