Ashley Campbell is following in her father, Glen Campbell’s footsteps, by becoming a singer and songwriter. Unfortunately, Glen’s Alzheimer’s disease has progressed so much Ashley isn’t sure how much her dad is aware of how far her talent has progressed. She says, “Dad didn’t have much of a chance to see my growth as a songwriter before the disease took hold of him. He got to see the musician I was becoming as I played with him on tour, and I know he was so proud of me. So, that’s what I hold on to.”

There is one memory that Ashley will always hold dear to her heart, which makes her believe her dad is well aware of the musician she is becoming. She says, “The last time he heard me play he was having a lot of trouble with his disease, but he came to one of my shows in Nashville. I played my song ‘Remembering’ with him sitting in the front row. When it was through he stood up and clapped his hands with the biggest smile on his face. I’ll always remember that moment.”
