There are a lot of different ways to create music these days, from playing instruments to using computers to create tracks and beats, and Jackson Dean believes, to each his own, but for him, there is nothing like creating music with real instruments and then re-creating it live on stage.

“Playing, that’s what all the artists here in town want to do, unless they don’t and they just want to stay in the studio, which I do not want to just do that, you know. But growing up playing, it was always off of my boot, off the tapping of my foot, and Sean right behind me on the kick drum and on the drums. So, it was just me and him holding down what was gonna happen. And most of the songs start, you know, with acoustic guitar and I’m playing and I’m singin’ ‘em and every sound that you hear coming out of speakers is being made in that moment on that stage.”
