The official first day of summer is this Friday (6/20/25), so we asked Mackenzie Carpenter to describe her perfect summer day, and she explained how an unfortunate incident converted her from being a lake girl to a beach girl.

“So, my perfect summer day, I feel like it changes, but we grew up as a lake family and then our boat sank. So, we are no longer a lake family and we prefer to spend our time on the beach. So, I would say out on the beach with really hot weather, like I’m not going to a lukewarm beach. I want hot weather, white sand, blue water, a cooler full of drinks. You know, nothing like that just turkey and cheese which out there with a speaker going of all the country jams, an umbrella for when you get too hot. Just a good old typical beach day.”
