(AUDIO) Waterloo Revival’s George Birge Was Feeling Blue When He Met His Wife

George Birge and Cody Cooper of Waterloo Revival spend a lot of time on the road, but fortunately they have good women at home who support their careers. George admits he was lucky his wife could see past his exterior when they first met. He explains, “I’ve been married for 2 and a half years now. I met my wife in college, at an 80’s party actually. I was dressed as a Smurf, had my entire body painted blue, so the fact that she could see past that, and stuck around with me, and she’s definitely a keeper.”

Now that they’re married, George would like to believe that he does pretty well in the romance department, but he says, “According to my wife I could probably use a little work in the sentimental department. But, she is a huge inspiration for a lot of the songs I write, and I make sure she knows that.”

Waterloo Revival is busy promoting their debut single, “Hit the Road,” which is the first release off their debut album, which they’ll release later this year.
