The soundtrack for the documentary Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me, will be released this Tuesday, featuring the Grammy-winning song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” by Glen Campbell. The song is also nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, and Glen’s daughter Ashley says, “I was so excited to hear about all the award nominations for my Dad’s song. The song ‘I’m Not Gonna Miss You’ is so special to me because it’s like he’s telling me he’s gonna be alright even when I’m not alright, that at least I can hold on to the comfort of knowing he isn’t missing anyone when I’m missing him most. It’s so great that this song’s getting such exposure.”
In addition to “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” the soundtrack for the Glen Campbell documentary also features the Grammy-winning song from The Band Perry, their cover of Glen’s “Gentle on My Mind.”
Look for Tim McGraw to perform “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” this coming Sunday, February 22nd, on the 87th annual Academy Awards, which will air on ABC.
