Thomas Rhett co-wrote his latest single, “Make Me Wanna,” with two other people, Bart Butler and Larry McCoy, and he says the most people he’s co-written a song with is five, but he has heard of more people being involved in writing a single song. “I think there were seven writers, actually, that wrote ‘Cruise’ for (Florida Georgia Line).”
While Thomas has nothing against large group co-writes he says, “The most writers I’ve ever had was five. I can’t do more than that. More than three brains it gets complicated there in the room, too many opinions.”
“Make Me Wanna” is the last single Thomas will release off his debut album. He is currently writing for his sophomore album, which he will release later this year.
