Waterloo Revival is a duo made up of George Birge and Cody Cooper, and George says the decision to become a duo happened quite naturally with no real planning. “We’d always been in bands together and always had great chemistry writing, I think because we grew up together and were always showing each other new music and growing our musical repertoire together, having some of the same influences, our direction and ideas was always really streamlined.”
They also naturally balanced each other out with what they brought to the mix. George says, “Cody was always really strong on arrangement and production and I felt like I was always focusing on lyric and melody and the fact that we were able to combine those two things, I think the chemistry was always there, it always seemed like the duo was the right thing for us.”
Waterloo Revival just released their debut single, “Hit the Road,” and they’re working on their debut album to release later this year.

Waterloo Revival – becoming a duo George :37
George Birge – “The duo seemed to form pretty naturally. We’d always been in bands together and always had great chemistry writing, I think because we grew up together and were always showing each other new music and growing our musical repertoire together, having some of the same influences, our direction and ideas was always really streamlined. We also both brought different things to the table. Cody was always really strong on arrangement and production and I felt like I was always focusing on lyric and melody and the fact that we were able to combine those two things, I think the chemistry was always there, it always seemed like the duo was the right thing for us.”
