Chaley Rose, who plays Zoey Dalton on ABC’s Nashville, says the opportunity to be on the show is a dream come true because it combines two things she absolutely loves, and it gave her a chance to get back to her musical side.

“It’s a dream come true because I moved to New York, kind of, I’m from Columbus, Indiana, I had no idea what I was getting myself into but I was going to New York certain I was gonna be discovered and be a singer, and I ended up going through a lot with that. And meeting a lot of different people in the music business and it always ended up being a negative experience, where I was being hit on or sexually harassed and then finally I was just like, ‘I’m done with music’, which was very sad for me. Then I got into an acting class and kinda became obsessed with the process and the art of acting and so that’s what I was pursuing. And then to book ‘Nashville’ as my first job, so I get to be presented to the world as an actor and a singer has been amazing.”
