If you ever spend any time with Thomas Rhett, you get the impression that he’s a pretty laid back, mellow guy, but when you see him on stage he’s this big ball of energy and charisma and Thomas says there’s just something about being on stage that flips a switch in him. Both he and his dad, he says, “When you put us in front of people, it’s like we thrive in those situations.” There’s just something about show time that brings him to life no matter what he’s doing. In fact he says, “A lot of the time, I’m asleep five minutes before meet and greet and then I wake up and I throw my clothes on and then all of a sudden it’s time to go do this. And when I walk on stage, this like shock of energy runs through me and it’s like I can’t really turn it off. And after the show, I’m way energetic too cause all that adrenaline has been pumping through my body for an hour or so. It’s hard to go to sleep after shows.”
Thomas is currently headlining the Taste of Country Christmas Tour, which will run through mid-December.
