Brett Young and his wife Taylor recently celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary. As Brett mentioned in his very sweet anniversary post to Taylor, they actually met and dated off and on for a decade before they tied the knot. Brett shared what it is about Taylor that had him hooked from the very beginning.

“Something that always impresses me and inspires me about Taylor is how independent she is. It’s a really hard thing to learn in life, and I think most of us learn it as we get older, and it’s just part of growing up. But it’s something she’s kind of always had. She’s able to love and be nurturing and caring and also be entirely independent at the same time. And the fact that she was able to be around me and make me feel important and loved and special but also never gave off that needy vibe. As much as she would be willing to admit that she does need me, she doesn’t make me feel that way. So, it was this quiet confidence and just like level of maturity from the very beginning that she continues to just kind of refine and make even more beautiful as she gets older.”
