Greylan James’ debut single, “Wait Til You Have Kids,” could almost be a companion song to Jordan Davis’s “Next Thing You Know,” which Greylan co-wrote for him. So, what did Jordan Davis think when Greylan first played him “Wait Til You Have Kids”?

“I was backstage talking to him, and he’s like, ‘Man, how’s everything going?’ I was like, ‘Yo, I’ve got my first single going to country radio.’ He’s like, ‘Please tell me it’s Wait Til You Have Kids.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, it is, bro.’ And he was like, ‘Man, that song is a hell of a song. That’s the right first single.’ So, he loves the song. And again, he’s the audience. I mean, he’s somebody that’s got kids and he knows that life changes completely. And he sees it every weekend. He goes on the road as THE Jordan Davis and he comes home, he’s dad. So, he knows that switch that happens when you have kids. So, it’s really cool to get his approval.”
