current single: “AFTER ALL THE BARS ARE CLOSED”
Thomas Rhett went to college briefly, with the thought of studying kinesiology and becoming an occupational therapist, but he quickly learned that career path was not meant for him. But he did manage to learn some things in college that he’s been able to apply to his music career.
Thomas Rhett – Labor Day college knowledge :30
“I don’t really know what I’d be doin’ if I wasn’t doin’ this because when I was 16 I went and worked on a farm. And when I was 18 to about 21 I was layin’ hardwood floors with my uncle in Nashville, and then I went to college and was doin’ that through college. And I don’t even think I did well in anatomy so I don’t think that occupational therapy would have been good for me. But I did major in communications, and I feel like whatever I learned is being translated to a crowd rather than to a conference room. So, it’s amazing the things I did learn in college being used in a way of songwriting and business and stuff like that. Yeah, college was not technically for me, but I did learn a little bit from it.”
