NASHVILLE, TN (July 25, 2025) – Rising Country/Americana group The Jack Wharff Band is taking listeners on a journey to the Appalachian Mountains for their bluegrass-soaked new track “Moonshine Man,” out today via Big Machine Records. With lyrics that read like a centuries-old piece of infamous local lore, the song tells a story of a reclusive man who lives atop a mountain with only an old guitar and a moonshine still to keep him company. Although he sought out the seclusion that now engulfs him, he yearns for his woman’s return while he grapples with his own mortality and the lonely life he’s built for himself. Soley written by frontman/lead singer Jack Wharff and produced by CMA’s reigning Musician of the Year Charlie Worsham, “Moonshine Man” finds Wharff’s signature raspy vocals and the band’s epic instrumentation in top form as they bring the cinematic tale to life.
