debut single: “WAIT TIL YOU HAVE KIDS”
Greylan James’ career is already off to a strong start, having written songs for artists like Kenny Chesney, Cole Swindell, Blake Shelton, Chris Young and Jordan Davis. He’s already taken home an ACM Song of the Year trophy for co-writing Jordan’s hit song, “Next Thing You Know.” So, when it comes to future goals and items on his bucket list, Greylan says the number one goal is becoming the soundtrack to people’s lives.
Greylan James – career goals :36
“Yeah, I’d say my career bucket list has definitely evolved. You know, winning Song of the Year was incredible, and getting to go on tour, signing a record deal. I wrote Scott Borchetta a letter when I was 15 saying, ‘Please sign me.’ And now I’m signed to this label. So, a lot of things that I’ve manifested have come true. But I think at this point, I’ve started to really think a lot back to the kid that grew up listening to country music, when I was 15 burning CDs, just filling ‘em up with songs that were inspiring me. And so, I just hope that you know with this first couple songs that I’m putting out and the first record that I put out, I just hope there’s somebody out there living their life to my songs and living through my lyrics. I think that’s the biggest bucket list, ’cause that’s what changed my life. I think that if I can accomplish that, then I’ve done something pretty cool.”
